Production

Faoflex SRL uses as main material the acetate of cellulose. The handware and lenses are produced in Italy and furnished by firms of the zone.

The first phase of workmanship consists in the cut of the acetate plates in tablets, that are shaped in the numerical control centers.

A specific internal component of FaoFlex SRL concerns the temples, produced and animate with manual machines.

The fronts and the temples are treated with acetone and then straight to the phase of tumbling, that lasts 5 days.

After the tumbling the hinges are inserted, allowing the assemblage of the fronts with the templess. This last operation is rigorously hand made.

The surfaces are joined and polished through the use of wheels. Then they are shaped and lenses are inserted. To this point the frames are complete.
 

In the next step they are stamped using ink and adjusted to hand. Then to the quality control and, if the product is considered perfect, it is prepared for delivery.

All these steps to create a product of quality that meets the demands of every client and the fashions.
