As the clock is striking its 45 years of activity, the Faoflex company has decided to start its own path to environmental and social sustainability. The historical period in which we find ourselves leads everyone, from the simplest citizen to the biggest company, to reflect about the position whom we want to take, both inside and outside our context.

As a company and as citizens, we have decided to start walking on this path stimulated by the consciousness about the impact of every action on the territory. Our will is to implement the attention that we put in our conduct and to constantly improve our daily activities.

WHY CHOOSING A PATH TO SUSTAINABILITY?

We have to forget the trends. Our company was born and has grown up in one of the most beautiful natural context of Italy: among the feet of the Dolomites mountains and the banks of the Piave river. We deeply love our landscape and we are intertwined with it since our very roots. Arriving to 45 years of trade activities has this meaning for us: starting to have more responsibilities for the environment and the nature that surround us, in a wider way.

LET’S FEED OUR NATURE!

Faoflex was born in 1974, on the feet of the Dolomites and near the historical Piave river. The enterprise has been growing together with its territory, thanks to all the citizens who, like trees rooted on the mountains, wanted to see the industrial sector of their area developing. Beyond the business development, Segusino is also known for some touristic attractions, such as its hamlets. The most famous one is Milies, which appears to be also the biggest and the highest hamlet of the municipality. Moreover, we can be proud of the proximity of the Piave river, which is known as the Sacred River of our Homeland, for historical reasons. This river flows through almost all the territory along the border extent, from North to South.

OUR COMMITMENT

Our project definitely aims to start an awareness raising itinerary, with the strict respect of the workplace safety rules and the legislation in force concerning the environmental subject. We want to concentrate on the waste management and the supply and use of products that could guarantee high sustainable standards. These are actually central elements among the services offered by the company.

In this responsibility view, being aware of the importance of people that cooperates with our daily work, the Company commits itself in many areas. First of all, we commit ourselves in the respect of the applicable legislation about workplace safety and of the SA8000 standard. In addition, we respect the international agreements about these topics: under-age work, forced work, workplace safety, freedom of association and negotiation, procedural guidelines, discrimination, working timetable and salaries.

The staff is constantly up-to-date and trained about safety topics and the present company’s policy. The workers are also informed about the different environmental issues connected to the realized services. This helps in the process of defining the correct working manners, with the aim of obtaining the prearranged purposes, in the perspective of a continuous improvement.
