GERMANO GAMBINI STAYS IN ITALY: THE BRAND AND ITS PRODUCTION NOW BELONG TO FAOFLEX

The acquisition of the Germano Gambini by Faoflex is official. The operation started in January and has now had it final signature.

The brand has been acquired by an Italian company and will stay in Italy, making a symbolic journey to Bologna, the city in which the brand was born in 1970, in Segusino, where production now takes place. From one company to the other, the essence of Germano Gambini doesn’t change: lightness, comfort, colour, annd new materials are what characterises this historic brand. A brand made in Italy which boasts extensive experience, but which has always known how to look towards the future and astonish with new styles and original models.

Thanks to an attentive restyling and product communication, Germano Gambini glasses are respected and distributed all over the world. And the key element is obviously colour: brilliant, energetic, lively. Germano Gambini has been one of the first everyday wear sunglasses brands to have brought colours other than black and brown into vogue. So there is space for more fun pop-art glasses in the most unexpected shades, created to illuminate our views and give us a carefree air. After years which have been really difficult for us all, let’s look at the world with new eyes and kick off the revenge of colour! The colour palettes which will make up our style and make our looks more playful and chic are numerous and original. In Italian acetate or metal – or why not in a combination of the two elements? The Germano Gambini brand has always focused on comfortable, light frames, which at the same time are captivating. The materials chosen are always high quality and the manufacturing is carried out while taking care of every little detail to arrive at a final result which is a masterpiece.

The story of Faoflex’s acquisition starts now, with a summer that it wants more than ever to be a tribute to colour and lightheartedness.

Faoflex – Italian Quality

Faoflex was created in 1974 by Fabio Stramare and Zanella family, entrepreneurs who with their creations have been able to carry on a tradition rooted in the territory’s history. It is in Segusino, on the banks of the river Piave, that Faoflex, a manufacturer of handmade eyewear, was born, a concrete example of artisan products Made in Italy.

The attention to detail and the search for an original and contemporary design, lead to the distribution of the glasses made in Treviso in our country, but also abroad.

Faoflex has 13 representatives in Italy, 8 distributors in Europe – the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Poland, France, Spain, Greece – and 4 non-EU distributors: Canada, the USA and Israel.

The commercial management is based in Italy; in principle carried out by the owners Fabio Stramare and Cristiano Zanella, but is now entrusted to Kristian Bonora, Sales Manager of Faoflex since 2016.

Faoflex is entirely handmade in Italy by “modern craftsmen” who combine traditional knowledge with new technologies, adhering to the highest quality standards. The manufacturing process adheres to a path of sustainability and respect for the environment, as well as a great focus on the health and well-being of its employees.

Faoflex manufactures eyewear for national and international brands following all stages of the production process. Next to the Dandy’s Eyewear house brand, a brand born from Fabio Stramare’s visionary talent, there are 3 licensed brands: Siens Eye Code, Germano Gambini and Akira Ishiwatari Design Studio.

Thanks to the passion for this work and the close collaboration with designers in the eyewear sector, Faoflex produces high quality products.

A pair of glasses with an unmistakable style, be they prescription glasses or sunglasses, are of great aesthetic and functional value, the result of almost 50 years of experience in the field of eyewear.

Knowledge of the materials, together with the passion and the manual skill typical of the tradition of this territory, give life to Faoflex glasses, a product of excellence certified as Made in Italy.

News Coronavirus

This week has been hard.

We tried to find out how to best manage two needs: ensure personal health and meet customer needs.

We have tried to guarantee the normal development of daily activities, even though we know that “normal” it’s just a word right now.

We are willing to give to our sales network and customers totally support on the taken decisions, being aware that at this moment it’s hard to know what’s right and what’s wrong.

We have decided, for this week, to reduce business activity to a minimum level, confident that better time will come.

Monday will be a new day: production and shipments will be fully operational in the respect of the common health; the staff of the offices will continue with smart working.

Let’s enjoy the blessing of being in good health.
