Faoflex will be acquiring the historic Germano Gambini brand. Known above all for the I Leggeri line as well as the ’interesting story of its founder, the actual transition to Faoflex in July 2022 will see Gambini eyewear become a house brand.

This represents a major changeà for a fast-growing’company. The è aim is to revamp the brand, communication and product.

Faoflex wants to  give new life to eyewear researched, designed, and manufactured in Italy, and distributed globally. An Italian company’s’acquisition of the Germano Gambini brand’reflects its’intent from the beginning: to produce eyewear that is 100% Made in Italy. From the refined materials to their complex processing, to the design, to the finished product itself. Every step takes place right here in our country.

Together with the house brand ’’Dandy’s, the company will then ownà a new proprietary brandà Germano Gambini, a historic brand born in the ’1970s in Bologna thanks to the ’foresight of its founder, from whom it takes its name. He was a visionary designer who basically wrote the history of eyewear in Italy. For the last 10 years, his daughter Paola Gambini has been responsible for operating the brand. She has continued her father’s work with passion and dedication, contributing to the brand’s success and making it a leader in the independent optometrist market both in Italy and abroad.

The new collection will be released in January 2022. It is  characterised by vitamin colours. In a complex historical time, these are intended to communicate lightness and joie de vivre.

The various collections reflect Germano Gambini’s light-heartedness, comfort and elegance. Despite the crisis of the pandemic, Faoflex had decided to invest in its future and its business. This growth is complemented by the  acquisition of an Italian brand that remains in Italy. Germano Gambini eyewear will have a completely new label. The logo will highlight their history and intrinsic value.
